This program will deepen your awareness of how military identity, values, and experiences influence health, well-being and help-seeking behaviours. Through a combination of interactive modules, reflective activities and practical tools, you will build the confidence to provide culturally informed, person-centred care to current and former military members, Veterans and their Families.
As you work through the modules, you will:
- Learn about the structure, roles and culture of the Canadian Armed Forces
- Explore how service experiences shape identity, health outcomes and Family dynamics
- Identify ways to adapt your clinical communication and care approaches
- Reflect on your own assumptions, biases and practice contexts
This learning journey is about more than knowledge — it’s about building understanding, empathy and trust between health care professionals and the military and Veteran community. Your engagement in this course contributes to a broader effort to ensure that all who have served are met with care that recognizes their culture, history and humanity.
Let's start your learning journey!
